More to Love (poem by me)

Something tells me

There’s something more to love

Than the shows I see on TV

Where a man and a woman

Start off with a drink

And end up in bed

Smoking a cigarette.

And then by the credits,

One has a bullet in their head.

How lame. How ordinary. How cheap. How mundane.

I feel something more

A different love grows inside of me

For a person whose

Fully man and fully deity.

He’s incredibly clever,

And there’s no place in the world

I would rather be

Than in His arms

When He holds me.

Jesus saves. <—————- This way out.

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” —John 14: 6
