Daydreams (poem by me)

We left for the open road
With open minds
And open hearts.
We stopped for coffee
In a small cafe
In a little town in Colorado.

I daydreamed as I sipped
That I lived and worked there
Until I grew old and tired.
That could have been my life
But I paid our bill
And walked out the door.

God must’ve spoke to my soul,
“Don’t make your life so small;
There’s much more in store.”

A person’s steps are directed by the Lord.
How then can anyone understand their own way?—Proverbs 20:24
