Quieting Anxiety (poem by me)

Anxiety has a voice,
a worst-case scenario,
someone’s dead or dying
on my cranial stereo.

It has visions too,
accidents and blood galore,
someone’s dead or dying,
a policeman’s at the door.

I take a deep breath,
and blow it all away,
no one’s dead or dying,
It will all be okay.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” —Isaiah 41:10
