Majestic mountaintops glittering with snow,
Far away from the hustle of the urban sprawl,
Its bosom holds secrets from long ago,
A looming backdrop to remind us we are small.
Crystal clear streams flowing freely from peaks,
No stagnation or pollution to undo,
It trickles into sparkling streams and creeks,
Stressing to us purity is a virtue.
Home to the formidable and dignified moose,
Chewing tall grasses and spring flowers with wide eyes,
Watching for those who would challenge his truce,
Prompting respect for all creatures under the skies.
Take a hike, make a drive, step outside, pass through,
And perceive nature’s personal message to you.
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you.
Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” —Job 12:7-10
