A New Beginning (poem by me)

The heaven and earth pass away,
Have no fear and do not dismay,
God created new ones, my friend,
He is the beginning and the end.

No more sun or moon to give light,
No more darkness, God’s love shines bright,
No more tears or need to pretend,
He is the beginning and the end.

We serve God with all our being,
The tree of life’s leaves brings healing,
It will happen, we don’t know when,
He is the beginning and the end.

*Based on Revelation 21-22.

God’s Symphony (poem by me)

Silence hangs in heaven like a thick cloud,
Seven angels accept their trumpets,
Incense is given to an angel,
along with the prayers of God’s people,
for the censer in the angel’s hand
comes before the golden altar
in front of God’s holy throne.

Smoke billows like a dense fog,
A sweet aroma fills the air,
The murmurs of many prayers rise
like a symphony before God’s throne,
It is hurled it down to earth in force
Lightning strikes, thunder cracks, ground shakes.

Four angels sound the trumpets,
Down comes hail and fire mixed with blood,
A blazing mountain thrown in the sea,
A star falls from the sky like a torch,
Part of the sun and moon turn dark,
An eagle speaks Woe! Woe! Woe!
For worse is yet to come on Earth…

This poem is inspired by Revelation 8.

Yet to Come (poem by me)

What if Grandma’s baking was the best smell ever?
What if baby skin is the softest matter we’ll caress?
What if the first kiss is the last time our hearts’ll flutter?
If this world is all there is for us, then there’s nothing else left.

But if heaven exists, then the best is yet to come,
We have never felt a cloud tuck us in at night,
We still haven’t smelled truly fragrant blossoms!
We haven’t felt the unmitigated love of Christ.

Surely the Lord is there waiting for you and me,
He holds an unimaginable joy for us in eternity.

“…’no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human mind has known.’ God has prepared these things for those who love him.” 1Corinthians 2:9 (NIRV)

Truth About Heaven (poem by me)

These secrets come from the same demon,
This time, it’s the truth about heaven,
Because he swallowed the truth serum,
Or else, there’s no way he would be tellin’.

No one is bored or boring up there,
Everyone walks around feeling
joyful like they are walking on air,
and no one dies or needs healing.

No one feels hungry or thirsty,
There’s always an enormous feast,
And a river that never gets dirty
But flows from the Lord’s throne of peace.

All the people up there love one another,
Singing and dancing down golden streets,
They treat every man like their own brother,
All are gentle, even the wild beasts.

It is never, ever dark like night,
King Jesus fills the whole place with love
and illuminates it with His glorious light,
All are clothed robes, each one white as a dove.

Keep being a good person and trust that,
Don’t rely on the Savior and God’s grace,
Before you know it, your life will have passed,
And you will never have to live in that horrible place.

*If you want to make heaven your eternal home, please give your life to Christ by saying this prayer:
Lord, I feel like I am a good person when I compare myself to other people, but deep inside I know I am not pure enough to stand in the presence of a perfect God. Please let Jesus’s blood wash me clean of all my sins so I can put on a pure white robe and stand before You. From this day forward, I make You my Lord and God. And starting today, You adopt me as Your own child that You will love and care for as Your very own. You will do this on the basis of your sinless Son who died on the cross for me and rose to eternal life and sits at Your right hand. Thank You for saving me from hell. Show me the way to live according to Your commands and be obedient to You. In Christ’s Name, Amen.
