The Mighty Angel (poem by me)

A face like the sun,
The mighty angel places his
right foot on the sea
and his left foot on the land,
He holds a scroll in his hand.

He shouts like a roar,
Then the seven thunders speak
a great mystery,
Then the mighty angel says,
“There will be no more delay!”

I accept the scroll,
The mighty angel tells me,
“Take it and eat it,”
The scroll tastes sweet as honey
But turns sour in my stomach.

This poem is based on Revelation 10.

The Relaxing Trees (poem by me)

There is a hammock
swinging in a wild meadow,
It’s tied to two trees
One tree is called “Trust in God”
The other is called “Firm Hope.”

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. —Isaiah 55:12

Love (tanka poem by me)

I love a good beat,
By far the best sound around
is your soft heartbeat,
My own chaos would begin
if that rhythm ever stopped.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. —1Corinthians 13:13
